    • The lens can be used under Fuji XT1 and please kindly purchase the Fuji X option in our website. We currently ship to Belgium for FREE.

  1. This might be a stupid question but I just received my copy for my Fuji X-T1 with the Nik-FX adapter but when I mount the lens to the camera, the aperture in the view screen reads “f0” and nothing happens when I press the shutter. I have used Leica lenses on the Sony alpha series in the past and never had this problem. Any thoughts?

    • You will need to toggle on the option of the “SHOOT WITHOUT LENS” in order to use a manual lens. THanks

    • Sorry we currently do not have plans for Samsung NX yet. However you can still use our lens with a simple adaptor. The adaptor price is USD 30. THanks!

  2. Is infinity focus still available when mounted to a Fuji X-T1 via the provided adapter ?

You mention a 18.5 minimum working distance. I would be interested to know the minimum/(maximum, DOF related) FOCUS distance, i.e how close the subject needs to be from the tip of the lens/filter at infinity 1:2 (0.5x), 1:1 and 2:1.
Is this information available, and is the minimum focus decrease linear as you start magnifying ?

    • Hi Sir,

Yes you can still focus to infinity when using an FX adaptor.
18.5cm is the min. shooting distance. (Object to sensor)
For min. working distance (Object to front element), 6cm at 2:1, 6.2cm at 1:1, 7.9cm at 1:2

      • Thank you for this information !
Very useful for me, and makes the lens even more appealing. Will be ordering soon.

  3. i just order a flash, do you have some kind of tracking order or anything or i just have to wait and pray? Thanks!

  4. I have just bought the lens venus-dx 60 mm and connecting with my camera nikon D3300. But I got difficulty to get clear picture in magnification ratio 2x though with working distance 5-6 cm in the evening. Please advice to get detail picture in magnification ratio 2x with the camera. Thank you

    • Hi Sir, You may try below shooting technique to get good picture.

      1) Use Liveview of the camera
      2) Rotate the focusing ring to the 2:1 mark
      3) Approach your object slowly until the object image in the screen become clear.
      4) Release shutter

  5. I just got the
‘Venus Optics Laowa 15mm F/4 Wide Angle Macro 1x and Shift’ and it is a great piece of work, love it.

  6. Hi Sirs
In the user manual of the 60mm F2.8 lens, when speaking of the effect-real FNO., what the acronym FNO means.? ¿Absolute value of the real f-stop? ¿F-stop Compensation ? … Really do not understand.
    Thank you.

  7. Hi,

When will the 105mm f/2 be available (for Europe/Belgium)?

P.S.: If Venus Optics is still looking for dealerships in Belgium, I can provide you with some quality addresses.

  8. Hi all,

Is this constant aperture lens ?

ie What is the maximum aperture of the lens when working at 1:1 and 2:1 focus range ?
If I’m focuses on a subject using the 2:1 image ration at the min working distance can I still adjust the aperture to f2.8 if required ?

  9. Hi, do i have to wait 6 weeks to receive the lens after ordering the Laowa 12mm f/2.8 Zero-D? And if i add on the filter holder, what will be the estimated lead time together then?
